Dancing on Their Gravez and Enjoying Every Second

Not sure knowing how to end a long and hectic week can be be more stressful than the long and hectic week itself. Well, luckily I was able to take some stress out at the Horseshoe Tavern, and got to hear the new sounds from Hooded Fang.

Hooded Fang, a four-piece of awesomeness formed in Toronto meld to bring together their new album GRAVEZ.  The live performance is fantastic and full of energy – after a crazy week this was a great way to unwind and move into weekend mode.
Having been liked to an interstellar joyride through The Hitchhicker’s Guide to the Galaxy it becomes clear why. With tracks like Bye Bye Land and Ode to Subterrania you can feel the world sink away from your feet as you float through the cosmos to punch the man in the moon in the face.

“We’ve been to the moon and back. There were really amazing times and really rough times… like any journey to the moon,” reveals bassist April Aliermo. “We ate crocodile balls, slept on floors and couches, watched TV and movies, and looked out the window in between. All this steady instability must have influenced Gravez.”

Hooded Fang is a band with a true work ethic. They’re pushing new boundaries on their interstellar journey of life, pausing long enough to look back at the shows and their experiences (perhaps trying to forget the taste of crocodile balls) which they’ve already gathered along the way. An odyssey that is just beginning.
